At the Lane Cove Eye Surgery we are able to perform medical drug therapy for macular degeneration (MD).
We have a treatment room facility to safely and effectively deliver the much needed medication for this debilitating and potentially blinding condition.
Medications called Lucentis or Eylea are injected into the affected eye in order to stop the proliferation of new and damaging blood vessels that give “wet” macular dengeneration its name.
These treatments have the potential not only to halt the progress of this insidious disease but it may also recover some sight lost to previous episodes.
